Program Overview
Everything you need to know about our Hairstylist program
The International School of Beauty Hairstylist Program prepares students for a focused career in hair services. This 600-hour program covers all aspects of hairstyling including cutting, coloring, chemical treatments, and styling techniques.
As a licensed Hairstylist in California, graduates can perform all hair-related services — cutting, styling, coloring, permanent waving, chemical straightening, and hair treatments. This program is ideal for students who want to specialize exclusively in hair without the broader cosmetology curriculum.
The curriculum consists of 600 clock hours of technical instruction and practical operations covering all practices of a hairstylist pursuant to Section 7316.5 of the Barbering and Cosmetology Act. 200 hours are devoted to Technical Instruction and 400 hours to Practical Operations in hairstyling services.
